About the Chair

Lyric is a rising senior in the School of Foreign Service majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. Having done Model UN since his freshman year of high school and being the Secretary-General of NAIMUN’s sister conference, NCSC, Lyric has attended or staffed over 20 conferences. In his free time, you can find him rooting for the Yankees, playing the piano, or sleeping an unhealthily long time. He is excited to help bring delegates a substantive and rewarding in-committee experience and is looking forward to interacting with delegates from all across the world in February. Anyone wishing to ask questions about the conference, express their excitement for NAIMUN, or otherwise contact Lyric shouldn’t hesitate to reach out via email.

Learning Goals

NAIMUN strives to provide the most well-rounded educational and enjoyable experience to delegates. The learning goals for Rafik Hariri’s Cabinet are as follows. Delegates will gain:

  • exposure to the complicated politics of the modern Middle East
  • an understanding of Lebanon’s relationship with its surrounding countries, enemies, and allies, including the United States
  • knowledge of the difficulties of building and sustaining a state in a volatile environment with potential for terrorist activity and war
