Dear Delegates,

Welcome to NAIMUN XLIX’s Councils, Summits, and Courts. We applaud you on your choice to join us as we prepare for what is going to be a truly enriching and engaging weekend. This organ undoubtedly boasts some of the most diverse and exciting committees, ranging from crisis-oriented simulations to mock trials, and will provide delegates with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the realm of international relations. This year, our novel committees include the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) trial of the Khmer Rouge operatives, the Egyptian Interim Government, the North Korean Politburo: Kim Jong-il's Death, the G-20 Cannes Summit, Summit of the Yakuza and the United Nations Security Council.

Together, we will be working to ensure that you have the best experience possible in your committees. We have selected a group of very intelligent and talented individuals to lead your committees as crisis managers, chairs, and staff. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your chairs or us. Again, welcome to NAIMUN XLIX, and we hope you are as excited as we are for what is sure to be a very exciting weekend of dynamic debate!

We look forward to seeing you in February!
