Welcome to the General Assemblies of NAIMUN XLVII! We are pleased that you have chosen to become part of the great tradition of NAIMUN General Assemblies; these committees are truly the heart of not only this conference, but of Model UN itself. This year promises a continuation of NAIMUN excellence, with seven exciting new committees and a slew of new topics from both the past and present political scene. In keeping with the spirit of NAIMUN ingenuity, we are proud to have several radically new committees this year, including a Special Summit on the Sea and the meeting of the Estates-General, 1789. In addition, we continue to offer the fundamental and expertly chaired GA committees all Model UN delegates have come to know and love, such as DISEC and SOCHUM. We are thrilled to have the most energetic, talented, and informed staff that NAIMUN has to offer and we promise to make the General Assemblies of NAIMUN XLVII more historic and exciting than ever before.
