Dear Delegates, Moderators, Marketers, and Friends of NAIMUN,
On behalf of the Georgetown International Relations Association, it is our pleasure to invite you to the fifty-first annual North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN LI) to be held Thursday, February 13 through Sunday, February 16, 2014.
Founded in 1963, NAIMUN is the largest student-run Model United Nations conference in the world, with over 3000 delegates and 200 Georgetown University student staffers. After fifty successful years of NAIMUN, we hope to continue the conference’s tradition of substantive excellence, intellectual rigor, and delegate engagement for at least the next fifty years. From large General Assemblies to small cabinets, NAIMUN’s simulations provide an unparalleled substantive experience. Outside of the committee room, NAIMUN LI will continue to draw upon the resources of our nation’s capital and tie lessons learned in Model UN to the real world through embassy visits, government tours and our Social Justice Roundtable. Finally, through programming like Hilltop Madness, campus tours, and the delegate dance, we hope to make for an enjoyable out-of-committee experience.
Ultimately, NAIMUN belongs to the 3,000 delegates and moderators that continue to make it among the best conferences in the world. In that spirit, we would appreciate your input as we plan for NAIMUN LI. More information will be posted in the coming months about registration and committee selection, and about marketing at NAIMUN LI. Until then, please feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns or suggestions. We look forward to seeing you next February!
Sincerely,
Pavan Rajgopal
