Pavan Rajgopal
Secretary-General
Pavan Rajgopal is a member of the Class of 2015 in the School for Foreign Service majoring in International Politics with a concentration in Security. Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA Pavan began participating in Model UN as a freshman in high school and is thrilled to give back to the activity that gave him so much as NAIMUN LI Secretary-General. Previously, Pavan served as USG of Cabinets at NAIMUN 50 and USG of Joint Crisis Committees at NCSC and continues to travel with Georgetown’s competitive MUN team. Outside of the International Relations Club, Pavan is a member of the Election Commission for the Georgetown University Student Association, and Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Fraternity. This summer, Pavan will be travelling to South Asia and leading a delegation of Georgetown University students to staff a Model United Nations conference in China. In his little free time, Pavan enjoys watching Steelers football and Georgetown basketball, reading philosophy and history, and exploring Washington D.C. Humbled by the opportunity to work alongside the extremely intelligent and talented members of the Secretariat, Pavan remains immensely excited for what promises to be a truly extraordinary NAIMUN. Sarah Pemberton
Executive Director
Sarah is a member of the Class of 2015 in the School of Foreign Service majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. Hailing from Hong Kong, she has been fortunate enough to attend conferences in Hong Kong, Seoul, and Beijing as a high school student. After serving as Director of Delegate Affairs at NCSC XL (NAIMUN’s sister conference for college delegates) and as Director of Marketing for NAIMUN 50, and travelling with Georgetown’s MUN team, Sarah could not be more honoured and excited to serve as NAIMUN LI’s Executive Director. Outside of the International Relations Club at Georgetown, she particularly enjoys working as a Research Assistant at the French Department, and serving as the treasurer of the Walsh Exchange. This summer, asides from making great headway in planning NAIMUN LI, Sarah will be continuing her work with the Centre for Cross Cultural Services Ltd. in Guangdong, China, and interning at the Hong Kong Lion Rock Institute, the Hong Kong International Relations Research Association, and the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies. Sarah hopes to foster the best possible delegate and staff experience at NAIMUN LI, and cannot wait to welcome everyone to Washington DC in February 2014.
