Last year, NAIMUN launched its scholarship program that represented a key element in our efforts to further the cultural and socio-economic diversity at our conference.

The establishment of this program constituted a step forward in making NAIMUN accessible to a wider array of high school students across the US. In our desire to maintain this commitment, we will uphold this program this year whereby we will be awarding three $250 scholarships and five $150 scholarships to delegates who are unable to attend NAIMUN due to financial constraints. The scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and financial need. This program embodies the commitment of NAIMUN and the Georgetown International Relations Association, Inc. (GIRA) to providing delegates a high quality Model United Nations conference while simultaneously increasing access to our conference.

Attached you will find the Scholarship Application and more details regarding the application and selection processes. Please keep in mind that all applications must be emailed by January 10, 2009 in order to be considered. If you have any questions regarding the scholarship or the selection process, please do not hesitate to contact us at naimunsg(at)modelun.org. On behalf of the NAIMUN XLVI Secretariat, good luck to all applicants and we look forward to seeing you in February!
