Hello Delegates and Moderators!
It may be hard to believe, but, as Directors of Security, we have already begun planning for NAIMUN XLVII! As we start preparing for the conference, we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves to you and share our thoughts regarding security for NAIMUN XLVII. As we approach the conference, you will be able to find the most up-to-date information regarding security procedures in this section of the website.
For us, the number one priority is that you, as either a delegate or moderator, have an enjoyable, informative and, most importantly, safe weekend while you are here in the nation’s capital.
In the approaching months, you will hear much about the exciting changes and expansions that await NAIMUN XLVII. Due to a multi-million dollar renovation of the Hilton Washington and a whole host of new committees, we will be fine-tuning our previous security procedures and implementing some new ones.
In a continuation of a change first employed last year, the Directors of Security will be full members of the Secretariat, which means that safety concerns will be better integrated into the conference experience as a whole. We have already recruited several members of the security staff, and will have the team filled by September. We will be training the staff almost a full five months before the conference to ensure a professional, courteous environment for all conference participants.
As we do our part to provide the safest and most enjoyable conference possible, we are also going to ask that you do your part. We encourage all moderators and delegates to adhere to security guidelines and rules, as we are going to ensure our team strictly enforces conference policies.
We are open to any and all suggestions, so please feel free to email us with questions or concerns. Thank you for your cooperation!
