It is our pleasure to invite you to the forty-sixth session of the North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN), which will be held from February 12-15, 2009 in Washington, D.C.

Since its inception in 1963, NAIMUN has become the largest and preeminent model United Nations conference in the Western hemisphere as well as one of the oldest in the world. With over 3,000 participants NAIMUN XLVI will continue to offer innovative committees, a high quality of debate, and exciting opportunities unique to the nation’s capitol. Last year, the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon addressed our delegates en route to meeting with the US Secretary of State, remarking that he had rarely been greeted by such a warm and promising audience.

We encourage you to explore this website, which will be frequently updated to keep you informed about registration, committees, and exciting events. Registration for NAIMUN XLVI is well underway! However, there are still many spots to fill and we encourage you to register on-line.
