International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) is the largest intergovernmental police organization; it connects law enforcement agencies across member countries to share data, track criminals, and fight international crime. Topic A will examine one of the most lucrative forms of transnational crime: the stolen art trade. Delegates will explore the role of the black market in art smuggling and evaluate the role of recovery efforts and advanced surveillance in disrupting smuggler networks. Topic B will focus on the rise of large-scale criminal syndicates that run transnational scam operations. Delegates will assess the far-reaching effects of these networks and develop international solutions to dismantle them

about the chairs

Anahita Asudani is a member of Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service’s Class of 2027 majoring in International Politics, with a concentration in International Security and a minor in English. She is originally from San Francisco, California, and has been involved in MUN since high school. Anahita previously served as Secretary-General of DistrictMUN V (NAIMUN’s middle school sister conference), USG of Committees for DistrictMUN IV, and USG of General Assemblies for NAIMUN LXII. She also attended NAIMUN as a delegate in high school! When she’s not in committee, you can find Anahita working at a defense startup, reading a novel, or perpetually searching for DC’s best cappuccino. She can’t wait to staff NAIMUN for her final year!
