Do I Wanna Know?: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), 2026
APPROXIMATE COMMITTEE SIZE: 25 delegates
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been tasked with protecting the people of the United States and upholding the Constitution since its inception in 1908. The Bureau handles some of the country’s most severe cases of organized and high-profile crime. Whether tracking international criminal organizations, following tips from whistleblowers, or responding to domestic security threats, the FBI works constantly to ensure public safety.
This simulation of FBI Headquarters seeks to recreate the fast-paced, high-stakes environment in which agents operate. There is no such thing as a “typical day” in the FBI, as new cases and crises constantly emerge. However, with crime on the rise, mounting administrative pressures, and a constant inflow of investigations, the Bureau is increasingly overwhelmed.
As part of the Non-Traditionals organ, the FBI committee will not function like a traditional crisis committee. Throughout the weekend, non-traditional mechanics will alter the flow of debate to mimic the environment of a real investigative body. Delegates will take on the roles of agents, division directors, forensic scientists, data analysts, and other key personnel as they work through both the Bureau’s daily caseload and broader questions about the future of the FBI itself.

About the Chair
Isabelle Kocher is a member of the Class of 2029 in Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Political Economy and intending to minor in Spanish. Isabelle was born in Houston, Texas but grew up in Los Angeles, California. She was first involved in MUN freshman year of high school but now travels with team GUMUN and serves on C-Staff in Operations. Isabelle is also an Undersecretary General of Councils for NCSC LIV. Outside of the Model UN world, Isabelle is a Director of Membership for Georgetown’s Eating Society (a club dedicated to her favorite thing in the world) where she gets to try restaurants across DC with her friends. She loves running, coffee runs to Blank Street, going to the beach (not necessarily easy in this area), listening to music, and watching a ten season long TV series. Isabelle is so incredibly excited to be your Chair for the FBI this year and can’t wait to welcome you to DC in February!
About the Crisis manager
Chris Rocco is a student in Georgetown’s School of Health Class of 2029, where he is studying Human Science. He has been involved in Model UN since his freshman year of high school, competing for four years on the high school circuit and hosting his own conference for two years. He has continued his involvement in college, competing for the GUMUN team and previously staffing both of Georgetown's conferences. He serves as the USG of Non-Trads for NAIMUN’s sister conference, NCSC. He is proudly from Long Island, New York (meaning he greatly misses good pizza and misses fast walkers even more.) Outside of Model UN, Chris is also a member of the Georgetown University Eating Society, where he travels to different restaurants across D.C. with his best friends, and Survivor Club, where he was tragically voted out pre-merge. He loves going to dj sets, travelling, perfumerie, and all things Charli XCX. Chris is incredibly excited to work alongside his best friend, Izzy, to run the FBI Committee!
