x NAIMUN LXIII

Each year, NAIMUN welcomes over 3,300 high school students from around the world to participate in an educational conference that exposes delegates to a broad array of global issues and urges them to share their innovative solutions with their peers. This year, our team encourages delegates to examine an issue that is only becoming more and more pressing with each passing year– the digital divide.

NAIMUN LXIII is proud to partner with Internet Society, a global nonprofit organization that works to enable equitable access to a safe, reliable internet in communities all across the globe. Internet Society has worked in 201 countries and territories to expand internet access, advocate for just internet policy, and increase digital literacy.

In support of Internet Society, NAIMUN LXIII will be hosting our annual Social Justice Event on Saturday, February 14th from 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM. We invite delegates and advisors to join us for an interactive workshop on internet governance. By partnering with this incredible organization, our team hopes that the collective contributions of NAIMUN’s delegates, staff, and advisors can make a tangible impact on communities around the world. Donations raised from this year’s conference will allow Internet Society to expand and fund their existing programs, help new communities access the internet, and shape the future of internet policy.

Through this partnership, we hope that delegates will have the opportunity to use the skills and perspectives they develop in committee to help preserve and expand free access to the internet. The spirit of philanthropy is deeply rooted in Model UN and is a central tenet of NAIMUN, so we are so excited to share this fantastic organization with you all.
